The National Premier Leagues Men's competition kicked off in the Northern Territory while we were treated to two rounds in South Australia and the action continued in New South Wales, Northern New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory.

NPL Northern Territory Men's
The action kicked off on Friday in the Northern Territory as Mindil Aces could not start their title defence with a victory as they went down 4-1 to a rampant Hellenic side while Azzuri also started their campaign with a win.

NPL New South Wales Men's
It was a magical night for the Western Sydney Wanderers who defeated arch-rivals Sydney FC 1-0 grabbing derby bragging rights while we were treated to another thrilling finish on Saturday night as St George City scored a stoppage-time equaliser against Blacktown City FC.

NPL Northern New South Wales Men's
It was a great weekend of National Premier Leagues Northern NSW Men’s action as Round 8 provided some fantastic match ups.
Lambton Jaffas super sub Scott Pettit broke Valentine’s hearts scoring in the 93rd minute to secure a 2-1 win on Saturday while a 2-1 victory secured a precious three points for Cooks Hill United on Friday night to elevate them up the table and remain in touching distance with a cluster of front runners.

After another cracking weekend of action around Victoria as Avondale continued their winning run while South Melbourne also produced a stunning victory.

NPL Queensland Men's
Gold Coast United remained unbeaten at the top of the league following a 2-1 triumph over Redlands United at Coplicks on Saturday night while Brisbane City finished the weekend just a point outside the top four after running out 4-0 winners over Eastern Suburbs at Imperial Corp Stadium on Sunday evening.

NPL South Australia Men's
We were treated to two round of NPL South Australia Men's action over the long weekend.
Round 8 action returned after last week's Australia Cup round with Adelaide United retaining top spot with another 3 points in the bank, sealed by a Luke Duzel while Sturt ground out another draw against Adelaide Comets.

NPL Capital Football Men's
A goal six minutes into stoppage time from central defender Marko Milutinovic gave Tigers FC all three points in an epic encounter against Canberra Croatia while A routine victory for Monaro Panthers moved the Queanbeyan-based side up the table as they recorded a 2-0 win over West Canberra Wanderers.

It promised to be a weekend of close games and that was precisely what we were served up. All four games were decided by just a single goal in what must rank as one of the more tightly fought weekends in the league’s history.
