The past weekend saw plenty of goals scored across the NPL Victoria Men's Round 8 as Avondale continued their unbeaten start to the season while South Melbourne and Port Melbourne made it three games unbeaten.

In another exciting weekend of NPL New South Wales Men's action, Mt Druitt Town Rangers played out an entertaining 1-1 all draw against Sydney Olympic at Popondetta Park in a match that saw a ‘Goal of the Year’ contender thanks to a stunning overhead kick via Rangers star Anthony Frangie.
Meanwhile, an injury-time Clayton Taylor penalty gave Sydney FC a 2-1 victory over the Wollongong Wolves, giving David Carney and his men more late heartache in what was an entertaining encounter played in wild conditions at times at Valentine Sports Park on Good Friday.

There were some big results in Round 7 of the NPL Men's competition in South Australia as Adelaide United NPL returned to the top of the table with a big win over MetroStars while FK Beograd made a statement with a 4-1 win over South Adelaide.

The NPL Western Australia Men’s competition continued as two first-half goals helped defending champions Floreat Athena move to the top of the NPLWA – Men’s competition as they won 2-0 at Perth RedStar while Sorrento hit back from last week’s home thrashing to RedStar by winning 3-0 against Cockburn City.

The action continued in Northern New South Wales as the battle of the eagles was won by the boys from Edgeworth with Newcastle Olympic FC downing Adamstown Rosebud FC while Broadmeadow Magic played out a 2-2 draw with Maitland.
