Meanwhile, down the M1 goals from Bronte Rose and Momo Hayashi ensured Gold Coast United kept pace with the defending Champions with a 2-0 victory over Souths United.
Rose’s first half header put the hosts in front before a trademark Hayashi free-kick in the 55th minute secured a third straight win for United, who have scored a league best 12 goals so far.

Newly promoted Mitchelton grabbed their first win of the new campaign with a 2-1 triumph over Capalaba at Teralba Park on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs took the lead in the 59th minute through Sariah Downman, who found space in behind the defence and chipped Emilie Adams from an unlikely angle.
But the Mustangs clawed their way back into the contest, equalising through a Kallie Peurifoy penalty in the 73rd minute before Jolianne Cruz popped up with a 92nd minute winner to secure all three points for the hosts.
QAS 4-1 Olympic FC
QAS took their first three points of the 2023 season with a 4-1 triumph over Olympic at Briggs Road on Sunday.
